LESTER PIANO

Lester pianos have won a high place in the world of music because of their sweetness of tone and the care expended in their construction.

This Lester was purchased new and lived admidst the same family for all of its life. The piano bench storage compartment gives a good glimpse into that families history as followed through the newspaper clippings from the Oregonian newspaper's society pages, and athletic and business pages. But enough trivia-back to the piano.

As can be seen in the pictures, the ivory is of high quality female elephant tusks- the grain is superb and the perfect condition of the ivory is a true testament of how much the piano was used for furniture rather than a musical instrument. This is a fantastic revelation to the next owner who wants to play the piano for years and years to come. The action has light wear. Another wonderful part of the picture is that the piano lived in a comfortable environment, giving little fatigue to the wood (the soundboard, bridges, pin-block and action).

Pianos are amazingly complex instruments made up of around 9,000 pieces. A grand piano has 25 pieces of felt and leather per note. They don't just need a little tuning. We have executed all of the the rigorous tasks that the Immortal Piano Company has become known for in reconditioning and regulation of this Lester piano. It's a lovely instrument.
